|13 June 2008| Citizen International contracts with ReadyDone.com to design the Global Vote Project website After a long and aggressive search, the Citizen International Board has contracted with ReadyDone.com to design and build the Global Vote Project website. ReadyDone has specialized experience working with non-profits. The site is scheduled to hard launch in mid-August. Visit the temporary site at www.globalvoteproject.org.
|10 May 2008| New Board Member Vivienne O'Connor Citizen International welcomes new Board member, Vivienne O'Connor. Vivienne is an Advisor to the Rule of Law Program at the United States Institute of Peace. She is from Ireland and holds a PhD in International Human Rights Law.
|28 March 2008| Citizen International DC Event! Join us Wed, 2 April at the 18th Street Lounge in Washington DC for our first Citizen International Happy Hour! This event will feature an opportunity to chat with Iraqi youth via the Internet from Baghdad - fostering better understanding between Iraqi and American youth. Music will be provided by Basshound! The event runs from 6-9pm and the suggested donation is $10.
Global Vote Project Launched!
Citizen International is excited to announce the launch of our first initiative. The Global Vote Project is an interactive, dynamic website where the whole world can cast a symbolic vote for the next President of the United States and engage in citizen-to-citizen dialogue on topics like the impact of American foreign policy on citizens overseas, America’s future role in the world, perceptions of America overseas, as well as issues of critical importance to the international community.
